Admission Policy

Applicants for admissions to ISC Manama are invited to visit the school for an initial overview and the SABIS® Educational System.

Non-Selective Admissions Policy
The orientation of the SABIS® Educational System is highly academic. The criterion for acceptance in a class is academic attainment, not age. Although age acts as a limiting factor, it is possible to find a three-year age range in the same class. In general, any student willing to learn is accepted.

Placement Overview
There are no academic requirements for acceptance into Kindergarten (3 to 5 years of age). Prospective students at these levels are interviewed; they must be able to speak and follow simple instructions and be toilet-trained.

Some candidates may find that student expectations in our system vary from those of other schools in the region. Our system places considerable emphasis on student accountability, responsibility, and respect of self and others. Thus, our system strives to enforce discipline in the school in order to facilitate student learning and promote good manners. Students who are used to more liberal systems need to adapt our code of behavior, discipline, and general appearance.
